When choosing cozy and comfortable outdoor furniture, the choice of materials that are used to make it is important. Today we take a look at the fabrics that Higold, always very attentive to the quality factor, uses to make its collections of outdoor furniture attractive and trendy.
Specially designed to withstand the outdoors in contact with the weather and without getting damaged, so you can have the peace of mind of not having to worry about withdrawing cushions, padded seats and mats as soon as you see the storm coming and hear the thunder.
Sofas, chairs, loungers and cushions must in fact be properly upholstered so that they are resistant to UV rays, mildew and rain, as well as being water repellent, especially if placed near a swimming pool, or even a simple irrigation system.
There are a variety of fabrics for outdoor furniture on the market, but when it comes to quality, Higold’s choice fell on two fabrics in particular: Sunbrella and Olefin. Here are their technical characteristics:

Sunbrella
Sunbrella fabrics are designed to combine the highest levels of design and performance. In fact, Sunbrella fibers are saturated to the core with UV-stable pigments, making its fabrics resistant to the fading and degrading effects of sunlight. In addition, because the color reaches the center of the fibers, these fabrics can be cleaned with solvents such as bleach without losing color.

For easy routine maintenance of Sunbrella fabrics:
– brush away dirt;
– spray a cleaning solution of mild soap and water;
– use a soft-bristled brush;
– allow the fabric to absorb the cleaning solution;
– rinse thoroughly until all residual soap is removed;
– allow to air dry.

Olefin
Olefin is derived from synthetic materials called polyolefins. It is resilient, has a coloration that is resistant to washing and fading, is durable, and lends itself to a wide variety of uses. Olefin fabric can be produced in a wide range of weaves, textures, colors and prints, making it ideal for making distinctive elements that bring explosions of color.Its production is also environmentally friendly. The manufacturing process generates little waste and the fiber is 100% recyclable: it can be reused up to ten times, obtaining new yarn.Not to mention the exceptional results when exposed to water: – it does not absorb moisture;- it dries very quickly;- it keeps moisture and sweat away, so you won’t risk sticking to your chair on the sultriest summer days.

Knowing how to choose quality outdoor furniture makes all the difference. For this reason, Higold has always been careful to provide, through its outdoor collections, a better lifestyle by offering one more reason to live outdoors to its customers.
